All eighty of the store’s shoppers have no clue what is going on until an old man runs in the market with a bloody nose and declares “Something in the mist!” He tells them to close the door. About five seconds after they close the door, the entire store shakes, as though it has been lifted several feet above the ground.

Kadang hal yang paling sulit dalam memperoleh sebuah pekerjaan adalah karena sulitnya melewati tahapan wawancara khususnya bila yang mewawancari kita adalah bagian personalia / HRD. Namun rupanya saat wawancara, ada rahasia tersembunyi yang perlu diketahui oleh para pencari kerja khususnya yang baru masuk dunia kerja.

"Setelah Anda menganggur lebih dari enam bulan, Anda akan dianggap sulit diterima bekerja. Kami berasumsi bahwa orang lain lebih berpeluang dari Anda, sehingga kami pun tidak mau berurusan dengan Anda." -Cynthia Shapiro, mantan eksekutif divisi SDM.
Dari pernyataan ini, dapat disimpulkan sebaiknya bagi orang yang sudah bekerja sebelumnya untuk tidak menganggur terlalu lama. Salah satu PM malah menyarankan kalo ingin resign, sebaiknya mencari pekerjaan selagi masih berstatus sebagai karyawan dan akan menyelesaikan pekerjaan / project dalam waktu dekat, agar perusahaan yang ingin anda masuki nantinya tidak memandang anda sebagai karyawan "yang dibuang" atau karyawan yang suka main-main.

"Dalam hal mengenai mencari pekerjaan, orang yang Anda kenal akan sangat berpengaruh. Tidak peduli seberapa bagus CV Anda atau seberapa hebat pengalaman Anda, semuanya sangat bergantung pada koneksi." -Direktur SDM di fasilitas kesehatan.
Adalah benar dengan adanya orang yang kita kenal di suatu perusahaan akan membantu / memudahkan kita untuk masuk dan bergabung dengan perusahaan yang kita ingin masuki. Maka dari itu perbanyak teman, dan jalin relasi sebaik mungkin.
